Into the gallery site has been placed a calender for September, 2011. The theme of September’s issue is the baobabs and trees of Zimbabwe. The calendar is decorated with ornaments and pictures of various African tribes.

Into the gallery of the site has been added a calendar for August, 2011. The theme of the calendar is the latest pictures from South Africa - Cape Town and the Cape of Good Hope.

Cape Town developed as a staging post for the Dutch ships on their way from Europe to East Africa, India and other parts of Asia and played a leading role in this capacity for over 200 years, before the opening of the Suez Canal in 1869. Cape Town, founded April 6, 1652 by colonists led by Jan van Riebeeck, a long time remained the capital and largest city of the Cape Colony.

In 1488, the Cape of Good Hope was discovered by the Portuguese navigator Bartolomeu Dias and named the Cape of Storms. However, the Portuguese King John II changed the name of the cape, reasonably hoping to have a sea route to India.

In 1497 Vasco da Gama rounded the Cape of Good Hope and pioneered the way to the sea coast of India. Thus, the "Good Hope" of King John came true and the cape stuck its famous name for ages.

One of the attractions of modern Frankfort on the Main is Commerzbank Tower, built in 1997 and designed by the British architect Norman Foster. This 300-meter high building is visible from any part of the city, even at night it gives a greenish-lemon glow, so it is difficult to confuse with other skyscrapers of the city. In imitation of Japanese artists created the album "100 views of the tower" to show its beauty and grandeur from a different angle.

The subdivision SovCook now includes a new album Chorba, a very beautiful visual sequence of the process for the preparation of a traditional soup in Uzbekistan national cuisine.

The subdivision Frankfurt-on-the-Main now includes new albums Design and Benches. It is worthwhile to view contemporary architectural design in Frankfurt for its impressive innovation and originality.

Into the gallery have been added two albums, Views of Frankfurt-on-the-Main and Chocolate.

Two unique albums with photos of process of cooking Uzbek pilaf and Lagman have been added into the gallery. Under each picture there is a detailed description of what and how the process should be done. On the whole, it is a visual instruction for everyone who has a desire to cook these classical dishes of the Uzbek cuisine on his or her own.

The new album with photos of the mountain ski Austrian resort Zell am See has been added into the gallery. The peculiarity of this album is the weather. Here you can find bright colorful photos of sunlit mountains and Alpine coniferous forests as well as photos taken during a snowfall with a bizzard- it is an amazing contrast!

Into the site gallery has been added a calendar for February, 2011. The winter is in its full play, it is frosty, snowy and a blizzard strikes, so the callendar corresponds the season well- ‘Winter, winter, winter..’

It rained in Moscow and its region during the night of the 25th of December, Saturday and the 26th of December, Sunday. It brought a lot of troubles- an electrisity shutoff, the airports out of order, intermissions of the suburban trains traffics and like that. But at the same time this rare natural phenomenon dressed up Moscow and its region into a fairy-tale Cristmas outfit – have a look at the charming photos in the album ‘Icy Rain’.

On the last day of 2010 the album of Zell am See was added into the site gallery. The night views of this Alpine mountain ski resort fit our before-Christmas spirits.

Into the site has been added a calendar for the first month of 2011- Junuary. In this calendar we used some photos taken from board the plane and the helicopter over Mozambique, the river Zambezy, the island of Benguerr and the Indian coast.

Into the gallery has been added an album with photos from Vienna before-Christmas. Especially beautiful are the pictures with bright balls on the fur-tree branches.

In the site has been added a calendar for April, 2010. This is an unusual calendar as firstly, it is of the A-3 form; we usually use the A-4 form so this one is twice bigger; secondly, the theme of the calendar is the sky of Namibia. This theme can seem strange but if you have a look at the original photos in the album Namibia and then at the calendar you will agree that it is really an excellent topic for April.

The calendar for May, 2009 has beed added into the gallery. The newest drawings were used in the calendar and besides, an accent was put on the perception of the drawings themselves. It was possible due to lessening the calendar data.

The gallery of the site has been enlarged by the drawings produced with acrylic paints on the dense paper. These drawings give a deep vista for imagination, everyone can see something specifically particular in them.

The earliest known form of the city's name is Turicum, attested on a tombstone of the late 2nd century CE in the form STA(tio) TURICEN(sis) ("Turicum tax post"). Neither the name's linguistic origin (most likely Rhaetic or Celtic) nor its meaning can be determined with certainty.

The city is situated where the river Limmat issues from the north end of Lake Z?rich (Z?richsee), about 30 km north of the Alps. A wonderful view of the small town Laufenburg can be got from the right high bank of the Rhine river. The town is divided by the Rhine into Swiss and German halves. The German half is called Laufenburg-upon-Rhine and the Swiss half is called Laufenburg (Baden). In the photos of this album you can see the opposite Swiss bank.

Constance is the main city of the region Baden near the places where the Rhine river issues from Lake Constance. It is a very nice and pleasant city for walking and shopping. Its narrow streets with the traditional architecture of a medieval town with lots of cafeterias, shops, restaurants and cafes. They say it is the most Italian city in Germany. The residents of the city and the region pronounce it as Konstanz.

The album ‘Waterfall on the Rhine’ has been added into the gallery. Surely, it is not the Niagara Falls but it is a very beautiful waterfall with a bustling dangerous stream.

Tashkent is the Star of Orient, the city where medieval antiquity tolerantly stands side by side with modern architecture, where the emerald-green grass shows its green under the burning sun and the streets are lost in the shadow of the plane-trees, chestnuts and oaks; the city where in the narrow canals there is a stream running down from the Chimgan mountains, it burns the swimmers with its cold and clean water; the city where there are storks strutting about the lawns of the central square, peacefully getting along with friendly citizens of Tashkent.

The new subsection with photos of Andijan Art has been added into the gallery, it contains some sketches of Fergana valley in Uzbekistan.

The trip to Samarkand gave the birth to the calendar for July, 2007 in which the photos of this ancient city have been used. They have also been placed in the gallery.

The album with some views of the ancient Samarkand has been added into the gallery.

According to a legend, at the times when Samarkand was founded, the Leopard descended from the mountains- Palyang. He roamed around the walls, approved the building and moved away to the mountains.

Since then the inhabitants of the city began to call themselves palyangs' - leopards'. The leopard has been pictured on their flags and coats of arms.

The people of Samarkand are proud and willful, they can't stand falsehood and never look for richness, their soul is only disposed towards fame and honours. The sages say that it is the land of Samarkand that effects so, and wherever the Samarkand dwellers appear the differ from other people. Their soul is open toward the beauty, there have been a lot of great wizards able to create wonders to make our world look beautiful.'

The calendar for June, 2007 has been added into the gallery. Some drawings and photos of nature were used for the first summer month : sunsets, landscapes, the sea, flowers.

The albumn Dubai has been added into the gallery.

Dubai was founded in about 1830 as a small fisherman settlement. By the beginning of the 20th century Dubai had been boasting about the biggest markets all over the coast of the Persian Gulf.

Despite the fast growing of trade development, Dubai remained a British political protectorate as a part of the state of Trucial Oman, stretching along the south coast of the Persian Gulf.

When Britain refused to continue its protection in 1971, Dubai became one of the seven emirates of a new-formed state -the United Arab Emirates ( the UAE ).

In 1966 oil was found in the suberb of Dubai. Since that time Dubai has began its skyrocketing!

Dubai today is the biggest commercial, financial and tourist center of the Middle East. Its rating of the development can be compared with that of Shanghai, China. Dubai is the 3rd most important center of re-export in the world after Hong Kong and Singapore.

Since the time when the Romans chose the settlement of Vindobonna on the banks of the river Danube as one of the most important central fortresses, the town, now known as Vienna, has played a noticeable role in the history of Europe. Austria has grown up, surrounding this city and developed into a powerful empire. The capital became a significant instance at the times of the the reins of the Habsburgs, resplendent magnificent and noisy. The time of the empire sank into oblivion but a lot of that epoch has been kept by the people who value traditions. As to the art, it has come to us practically primordially due to the cultural heritage, left by the great masters, brought up on this land.

Some new works have been added into the albums AliveSOV and Bodies&FaceSOV- these are original drawings of cats, dogs and people - and you can pass by Einstain without stopping.

Some considerable changes had been given to the section PhotoSOV. The Austrian Albums have been put in good order and extended; the subsection Balconies and Windows has been divided into two thematic divisions; the albums Doors and Benches have been put in good order.

The new albums Cats and Dogs have been added into the gallery. There was an attempt to draw an animal with some touches of the brush here. How well it has been got - you are to judge

Our gallery has considerably been updated with some new drawings, made up by different original techniques. Thus the albums AliveSOV, Bamboo&GreenSOV, OtherSOV and Bodies&FaceSOV have been enlarged with the drawings made with pencils, coloured fountain pens and chalks, with a brush and even with a common ball-pointed pen.

Some new drawings , that were not in the collection before, now have been added to the albumn of Bamboo&GreenSOV.

The calendar for April, 2007 has been added to the gallery. Springtime is in full swing and so the April calendar is so spring and bright!

The albums China and Vietnam have been updated and the album Germany has been added.

In the subsection of FriendSOV the new album has been made up. In it there are some photos of The Holy Trinity-St. Sergius Lavra which were given to us by the celibate priest Nikon.

The glorified cloister of the Reviving Trinity was founded by Reverend Sergius of Radonezh in 1337. The centuries pass but the The Holy Trinity-St. Sergius Lavra has been one of the most revered All-Russian sacred places, the largest center of spirit enlightenment and culture. The assembly of ascetics of the Russian Orthodox Church worked within the monastery,St.Nikon of Radonezh, St.Maximus the Greek, Epiphanius the Sage and Pachomius Logophet.

The oldest building on the territory of the Lavra is the Trinity Cathedral (1422-1425), where the relic of St.Sergius's body has been kept, the Saint who has become the Father-Superior of the land of Russia. The iconostasis of the Cathedral contains the icons painted by Andrei Rublev.

The album "Swarovski" by which we end the series Austria – Art has been added into the gallery; it contains the albums "Japonizm", " Tyrol, January 2007 ", " Branches of Tyrol " and as a matter of fact- " Swarovski "

Swarovski Museum is one of the most visited in the whole Austria - a honourable second place after Schonbrunn Palace. The manufacture of crystal in Tyrol was established by Daniel Swarovski where he had arrived in 1895 from Bohemian Georgenthal. Located near the factory in Wattence that is in twenty minute’s drive from Innsbruck, the museum has become the main sight of Tyrol. While glancing at the album "Swarovski", you will make a small travel around the museum and looking through all the series of Austria - Art, you will enjoy the beauty of winter Tyrol. Off we go!

The federal land of Tyrol which is frequently called "The heart of the Alps" is famous for its magnificent mountains and valleys stunning with beauty.

In Tyrol there are more than 600 mountain summits the height of which exceeds 3000 m. Five high-mountainous glaciers permit to ski even in the summer. The mounting skiing resorts of the greatest popularity here are Kitzbuehel, Innsbruck and Solden. It is no wonder as the huge territory of skiing offers routes of any complexity; the adjusted connection between stations and existing of 307 professional schools, 131 of which include services of children's instructors, make these places suitable for a family rest.

The new album Japonism' has been added. The photos of this album were taken in Tyrol. You can always see beauty where it seems to be nothing!

The calendar for February, 2007 has been added into the gallery. While preparing this issue, some new drawings and photos were used , and we also used some drawings by Kate Rogova- a young artist from Ekaterinburg, there are some works by her in original in the gallery of the site.

The year of 2007 is the year of the Pig. But in our variant of the calendar we didn't introduce these kind and lovely animals, the calendar reflexes the seeing of the world pictured during 2005-2006 in the numerous travellings. Welcome to the year of 2007! May you see the New Year coming in!

The new album China’s Avant-garde Art has been added into PhotoSOV.

798 Arts Area Or informally "Dashanzi Art District" is known as a center of Beijing's nascent "BoBo" (bourgeois-bohemian) community. Old Maoist slogans still visible on the ceiling arches remind of its being a large state-owned enterprise built by the Russians in early 1959 as part of a war-reparations deal with Germany. The factory quickly established a reputation for itself as one of the best in China. The Joint Factory produced a wide variety of military and civilian equipment.

However, the business came under pressure during Deng Xiaoping's reforms of the 1980s. Then in 1995, Beijing's Central Academy of Fine Arts looking for cheap, ample workshop space away from downtown, set up in the now defunct Factory 706. Since then many other artists and cultural organizations have begun using the space for design, photography, exhibitions, performances and art. In 2003, around 30 artists and organizations set up studios or offices in the area. 798 Space, Yan Club, Sit, Beijing Tokyo Art projects ( BTAP), 798 Photo Gallery and Vibers are studios worth visiting.

Now the 50-year old decommissioned military factory buildings of unique architectural style are often compared with New York's Greenwich Village or SoHo.

The album Oman has been added to the gallery.

In the eastern part of the Arabian peninsula where the desert faces the Indian ocean the Sultanate of Oman has placed its territory. Its history comes back as far as two thousand years. Oman is known as a legendary land of the copper Mahgan'that has been keeping on casting a spell upon its explorers including Ibn Batut and Marko Polo. The biblical Job was buried there. The Queen of Sheba ruled there. Sinbad the Sailor set off his voyage from there.

The landscapes of Oman vary greatly. The spectacular scenery makes Oman different from the other countries of the Persian Bay. The mysterious mountains hiding amazing caves from the eyes of the strangers, the sands of the great desert, the snow-white beaches on the background of the ocean spaces, the exotic greenery have merged into the united picture of harmony and beauty.

The pictures by Kate Rogova, a young 6-year-old Muscovite, has been placed into the gallery. Look at the world by a child's eyes- we are sure you will enjoy it!

The calendar for December , 2006 has been placed in our galley. While preparing it up some new drawings made with special art markers were used, and there were also some photos of the Alpes, coved with snow, added to the gallery.

According to the remarking of the newspaper 'Zhenmin Zhibao', the arts and crafts of China distinguishes with the great variety of forms and the subtly-done work , many works are considered unique. The art of folk skilled craftsmen is protected by the state and is passed from generation to generation, many craft-works go to the world market and are willingly bought by foreign tourists.

The specific art distinguishes with the usage of valuable and specific raw materials. The deep idea and skilled processing give the birth to fine and precious works of art. The works of nephrite, for example, are a pattern of the finest carving ; while processing, the craftmen skillfully use the native drawing, shining, colour and the shape of nephrite, which wonderfully merge in the work and brightly demonstrate a miracle of nature.

The calendar of the last autumn month has been placed in our galley. While making the page-proof of the calendar of November, some new drawings and also photos of autumn Brugge and Amsterdam, the night Vienna, Megion and London have been used.

The October, 2006 dairy calendar has been put into the gallery. This time the calendar is devoted to Norway, and the photos brought from there were used while it was under the formation . You can have a look at these photos in the album Norway'

The photos taken on the glacier Briksdalbreen have been added to the album.

One of the most wide-known in Norway - the powerful glacier Briksdalbreen - is a part of the National Park Jostedal. Every year 300 thousand people from all over the world come there to feast the eyes with the wild beauty of icy masses descending from the attitude of 1200 meters into the green valley of Briksdal. You can come up to the glacier very close and touch it by your hand. It is astonishing but these icy masses are more than 1000 years old!

The first tourists came there as long ago as in 1860. Most of them were the rich English but the real season was open when a good road to Briksdal was built in 1890. Earlier the tourists were brought there by carts with straw, carried by horses but now they are brought by small electrical cars - one shouldn't forget that is the territory of the National Park so everything is kept on being done to protect the environment of this area.

Some views of amazing beauty of famous fjords have been added into the album of Norway.

The word 'fjord' originates from the Scandinavian means a 'bay'. But the fjords of Norway are an absolutely special natural phenomenon. It is impossible to describe them with usual common words. The fjords of Norway are mountain bays formed by the glaciers moving along the western coast of the Scandinavian peninsula for millions of years. Words have no power to picture the sensations of any person when he or she encounters Norwegian fjords for he first time. In a better case even the professional photographers can give only a common presentation about this miracle of nature. The fjords of Norway should be seen and felt by oneself!

The new album SmileSOV has been open. The pics that can engender a smile will be put there.

The subsection PhootoSOV has been reformed, the albums 'DOORS', 'BALCONIES AND WINDOWS', 'BENCHES' have been made and the pics of the trips to London, Innsbruck, Zaltsburg and Norway have been removed there.

The September, 2006 dairy calendar has been put into the gallery. In Russia Septemper has always been considered the beginning of the year, we start the year with this month, too, but the schooling year, therefore the September calendar is devoted to Glier music school of Tashkent, where once himself the author of the drawings and photos went, when a boy.

The creation of the new album with landscapes and photo sketches of Norway has been started. The work began during the trip around Norway. Totally there were more than 2000 pics taken then!!! Surely, not all of them will be taken into the album, but the best ones will get their places inside the galley. You are welcome to drop in more often!

The new subsection ‘Zaltsburg, July 2006’ has been open in the gallery of 'Austria’, where you can see the album with very original photos of Zaltsburg benches. This selection is likely unique in the Internet- have a look and make sure – it is really so!

The album with views of Austrian Zaltsburg has been placed into the subsection of PhotoSOV-Austria. Zaltsburg, or Salt town, is the administrative center of the area of Zaltsburg. This city is situated in the north-eastern part of the province that has the same name, on the boarder with Germany, the ñountry that this city was a part of for more than a thousand years. The city is situated in the Alpes, at the attitude of 425 meters over the sea level, its natural decoration is the river Zaltsach. Zaltsburg is placed on its both sides. Saltsburg is the native town of Mozart and the place where Herbert fon Karoyan, a composer of genius of the XX century, lived. Zaltsburg is a city of classical music, there is Mozart week being usually held in January, and opera festivals with serials of concert programs take place in summer every year.

The album Iordan' appeared after the trip to the Middle East, May 2006.

Iordan is a unique country, it was mentioned in the Old and New Testaments several times, its soil retains , according to various calculations, from 16 up to 20 thousand historical and cultural monuments of different ages of the past.

Jesus Christ was baptized there, Moses saw the Promised Land there, he lived and died there and it was there where he was buried. The numerous prophets lived there, too; tens and hundreds sacred events happened there, that were important for the faithful of many religious groups. The waves of movements of many tribes and peoples went through this land, they left their traces both in the architecture and in the culture of modern Iordan. The waters of the warm Red and the salubrious Dead seas lap there.

The ancient Petra town is considered to be the main treasure if Iordan. It is situated in 3 hours' ride from Akaba. Petra is the legacy, remained after the Nabatei, the brave warriors and diligent stonemasons, who settled in the South of Iordan about 2 thousand years ago. The peculiarity of Petra is in its astonishing location in the very heart of the desert. The town is situated in the mountains, that change their color in pink, dark red, purple or orange depending on the time of the day. Petra stretches along the valley of the river Vadi Araba, from the Dead Sea to the Bay of Akaba in the Red sea.

From the main entrance the visitors walk through the scaring SIK', the huge split in the sandstone, the extent of which is 3 kilometers between the sheer rocks. The most well-known monument of Petra is the Treasure, that is a logical end of SIK', there are hundreds of buildings, facades, vaults, bath-houses, mourning halls around and of course there is the theatre, built in the 1st century BC.

Cyprus attracts a lot of travelers, that arrive here from everywhere to give her their tribute of respect. The island of legends is warmed with the rays of the editerranean sun the whole year running. Being the third in size island in the Mediterranean sea, having a unique location among Europe, Asia and Africa, Cyprus have been conquered by numerous civilizations and just tribes. The Greeks started settling here over 3 thousand years ago, and the island has seen the Phoenicians, Romans, French, Venetians, crusaders and other conquerors, that left their indelible traces in the history of the island. There are knight castles neighbouring with ancient vineyards and monasteries sinking in olive groves. Cyprus is a modern country that combines the European culture and the charm of the past. With its sunny climate, marvelous shores and rich history, Cyprus is really destined for resting. Cyprus is a light-hearted place where one loses the sense of time.

The new album Uzbekistan has been added into PhotoSOV. Specific culture and architecture, the nature of southern ares, snow-covered peaks of the mountains and the foot mountain valleys in blossom will certainly attract your attention.

The album with views of the Alpine mountain-skiing resort Zell am See has been placed into the subsection of PhotoSOV-Alpes. The town of Zell am See, with its central part and the districts of Schuttdorf and Tummersbach are situated on the bank of Lake Zell. Zell am See became very popular at the end of the 19th century, when the Austrian empress Elizabeth grew fond of resting there. This resort is one of the most popular resorts in Austria among both the natives and the people from the neighbor Germany. Resting in Zell am See attracts a lot of rich people from Arabic countries who consider the snow in
high mountains to be one of the world miracles.

We congratulate all the visitors of the site with the arrival of Spring! Although the snow is still covering the streets of the city , the sun stared to shine in a spring way, and the day will be equal to the night very soon , and to say it in general, the life is getting better.

In the section of PhotoSOV-Alpines the album Alpes 2005-2006 has been placed. The stunningly tremendous beauty views of the snow-covered Alpine woods will not leave you indifferent!

Some new works by Velad have been added into the subsection FriendSOV. They have the common name ‘Autumn in town’.

A new sucsection has been created in PhotoSOV- Megion. It has a lot of wonderful landscapes of the river Ob. Megion is one of the distant towns of the Far North. It is situated on the banks of the great Sibiria river Ob. The ecxact time of the foundation of the town is not known. It was first mentioned in the lists of towns and settlements in 1868. The intensive development of the town Megion started in 1964, it is connected with the time of discovering ‘big oil’.

More than a century ago the Englishmen took the fancy to Angels’ Bay, and by a half a century later Nice was being called a
Russian city. Streets named in honor of Russian tsars, interiors painted by Shagal, mansions belonging to Russian noble families,
Orthodox cathedrals …Nice today is a luxury resort situated 25 kilometers from the Italian border. An opera house, theaters, marvelous walkways, casinos, restaurants, shops and, without doubt, gorgeous palaces line Promenade des Anglais …Tour photographs have been placed into the subsection “Vienna, Monaco, Nice”.

Ischia is called “Emerald Isle” because of its magnificent Mediterranean flora. It is the biggest island in the Neapolitan Gulf.
This island of the volcano origin has been known for its thermal mineral springs, natural geysers, and crystal clear water since
ancient times.

The subsections “Greece 2005- the streets of Corfu” and “Greece 2005 – Corfu, the Sea” have been added. The legend says that not far from
Corfu the ship in which Odysseus returned to his native Ithaka was broken up and sunk by the god of the sea, Poseiden
